Wwwumzle
By using this service you agree with everything stated below
Overview
This service allows to encode an user-submitted text (refered below as 'the text') into an URL (internet address). This service does not host any user-submitted data. The text is displayed between the 'Here's the text' sentence and the 'Refresh this page' link, and repeated twice below, on the page that decodes the URL.
Wwwumzle is not the editor of the text. Any text submited will not be available to anyone until someone publish somewhere the URL in which it is encoded, either directly or by shortening it before publishing. This is the person who publishes the URL with the text encoded in it who is responsible for the content displayed (the text).
Thing of us as an www equivalent to a phone company. You wouldn't sue a phone company if someone use its phone service to communicate illegal informations, such as copyrighted work. This is the same for us. We simply display the content that is encoded into the URL - we don't store it - we don't publish it - we're not its editor.
We simply provide a mean to turn a text into an URL. This can be used to have a text that can easily be broadcasted, for example with microblogging services or social networks.
This service was primarily designed to let poets reach a broader audience with their poetry.
There's a size limit for the text you can encode. If you try to encode a too long text, you'll get an error page. Please also note that some browsers have their own limit for URL size, so your text may not be viewable in some browsers if its URL path section exceeds 2048 characters. As far as we now it's an Internet Explorer specific behavior. This is the case for Internet Explorer 8 and prior, and for Internet Explorer 9 we do not have the actual information. Unfortunately, many if not any URL shortening services apply this 2048 characters limit too.
You retain all copyright rights on the text ; we don't take away any right about it.
Please note that some services, including the very popular microbloging service (providing your profile is public) do not allow to really delete content that has been published. Even if you can delete it from the service, it will still be available trough third-parties. So think twice before publishing a Wwwumzle URL encoding a text with such or such service.
Limitation of liability, limitation of warranty
This service is provided 'as is' without any warranty. This service's editor will not be liable for anything. This service can go offline, temporarily or permanently, at any time, without prior notice.

If your intellectual property has been published trough this service, you should locate where the URL with your intellectuel property encoded in it has been published, and ask its hosting service to delete it (according to the law in many if not any countries, they will have to do so). This is the simple and easy way, and also the way that would be the quickest. Alternatively, you can also ask us to block such or such text, but we will ask you to prove that you are the real owner of the content. This may imply spending money in the proving process, and we will not refund you. Contact us for further information.
Shortening an URL
You'll have to locate a URL shortening service. Then, to copy into the system clipboard the URL with the text encoded in it - on some platform this can be done by right clicking on the link indicated below the 'Url of this page' sentence, and select copy. Then, paste it the same way into the 'URL' field of the URL shortening service you use.
Please note that many microblogging applications auto-shorten URLs.
Converting a text to 2D-barcode
There's two option : you can convert the URL with the text encoded in it to a 2D barcode. It is the recommended way, since people will be more easily able to share it then. Second option, you can encode the text itself into 2D barcode.
